The full-length computer-animated Star Wars film, The Clone Wars, is scheduled to open nationwide on August 15, to be followed by the premiere of a television series on TNT and the Cartoon Network in the Fall.
Warner Bros. says that Lucas Animation has already produced over 30 half-hour episodes of the series and a web-only documentary chronicling the creation of The Clone wars is online at http://starwars.com. Several of those episodes will likely be formed together to make the movie.

The trailer, which appeared online almost as soon as the film was announced, looks good, too. I'm not that much into Star Wars, but even I can see this is a bold move.
