'Angels & Demons' sneak peak

A downtown San Diego theater had a preview of Angels & Demons last night -- people were lined up for hours outside before the one-time showing. I'll say this, it's a long movie and as I understand it, some big plot points from the book version were still left out.

But I liked it. I also liked The Da Vinci Code, but for different reasons. The two are fairly different films, even different types of stories. This one didn't drag as much as the previous, though there were some definite down moments. The ending, and the villian, I thought were -- predicatable. I'll leave it at that. What I really liked were the visuals. The crew did a great job recreating the locations they weren't allowed to film in, like the Sistine Chapel.

Though, if I had to choose between the two, my favorite is still The Da Vinci Code.
